As an open and inviting congregation, we at Shira Hadasha hope to follow the ancient example of our forefather Avraham, who welcomed guests and offered them food and drink.

Our goal is to enable all those in our congregation, and all our guests, who do not have a place to experience the traditional warmth and joy of Shabbat and holiday meals, to take part in that experience together with our Shira Hadasha members.

We invite our members to take advantage of the program as guests and as hosts, as an excellent way to meet other members of the community.

We request that each family volunteer to host guests at a Shabbat or holiday table at least once each year. Likewise, we seek volunteers who are able to welcome guests for Shabbat or holiday meals without advance notice, when the need arises.
